- I'm new to vaping and I'm sorry to say I bought my vape pen elsewhere. I thought the place I bought it was great and even left them a great review...until I found Red Star.
I've been in twice now, the first time for juice (which was about half the price of where I bought my pen) and this time just for help. Both times the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
It turns out the place I bought my pen didn't teach me the correct procedure for changing coils and I've been burning through them every couple of days and getting decidedly unsatisfactory puffs. At Red Star, they walked me through it and hot damn, what a difference. My pen works just like it did when it was brand new.
In addition, while I had brought my coils with me, I didn't think to bring my juice to prime the new coil with. The girl asked what juice I use, it's one of their house blends called Gentleman, but I told her, "Just prime it with salted caramel," which is the main flavor in Gentleman. She said no, asked what nicotine level I use and proceeded to mix me up a small bottle of Gentleman at my nicotine level and sent it home with me. What?!? This is some serious old school customer service, I'm 50 and this is the kind of service I remember from my childhood.
I would like to say I will never enter that first vape shop again, but since Red Star doesn't stock the coils I need, I guess I'll have to. But I will never willingly go anywhere but Red Star ever again.
Another striking thing, both times I've been there, everyone, both customers and staff, seemed to be having a great time. I wish I could work there, but at 50, I'm afraid I'll never be that cool again.read moreread lessMonica J.
